OUr 10 policies
1: Combating Human Trafficking, Part One
We must attack this devastating worldwide issue that is human trafficking. Regarding this problem, the United States should put action behind their laws and treaties by actively searching for traffickers and proactively combating this worldwide issue. The Executive branch should head this effort to commission skilled people nationally and internationally, and partner with other countries to decrease the rate of human trafficking globally.
2: Human Trafficking, Part Two
Since more than a billion dollars have been out into human sex trafficking, the government needs to enact a law that firms up our border system to decrease sexual exploitation and spending the funds they actually receive to benefit those who are being trafficked.
3: Reducing Standardized Testing
Under the No Child Left Behind Act the government encouraged frequent standardized/high stakes testing in schools. The purpose of these actions was to contribute to the universal testing and show progress among students. However, the US executive branch should approve a bill to reduce the number of standardized tests required and increase the variety in which students can be assessed. This will take into account the uniqueness and strengths of individual students, enabling them to do their best when being tested instead of having to conform to a cookie-cutter assessment that doesn’t display their potential.
4: Inflation
Nobody likes inflation, yet everyone is affected by it. We all see the raised prices and frustratingly lowered quality. Let’s change this. If elected, Mikayla Baird will decrease the rate of inflation by printing less money.
5: Border Patrol
We will increase border patrol to keep drugs, human trafficking, and guns out of our country.
6: Civil Asset Forfeiture
The policy for civil asset forfeiture should be where the objects are not taken until the person is proven guilty and police cannot keep the objects they take.
7: Reduce the Government's Involvement with International Governments
The government should have never been involved with coups to overthrow the government because of the Iran backed terror.
8: Drug Legalization
My policy is to make drugs legal, as we can see the united states spends $40 billion to $50 billion on keeping drugs illegal ,and only $10,000 and $30,000 on rehab so it would be easier to make drugs legal and spent money on helping people who get addicted to it. People who are 18 an older should be able to get drugs.
9: Addressing Immigration
Immigration. Firstly what is immigration? Immigration is the process by which an individual enters a country with the intentions of permanently residing. As simple as this process may sound, for many years this system has been neglected and frowned upon because of the controversy that surrounds immigration. Immigration holds numerous key benefits to a country’s socioeconomic growth but unfortunately many see it as a threat to them and their culture. Because of this immigration is placed into a box of suppression and treated with aggression and lack of care. Which cause the system to be filled with corruption and broken ness. I believe that this system needs to be introduced to reform. What I believe should be done is that immigration needs to first be addressed to the people in a manner that holds respect that justifies why this system was put in place in the first place. The benefits it holds needs to be publicized more and lastly the consequences that would arouse from the lack of this system. This can be done by doing numerous protest and speaking out and against the controversy. I believe this will help America grow as a nation.
10: The Issues of War
War has been the foundation that a country has been built upon for many many centuries. War is known as a solution to fix the issues of which a country faces. Most times war is very effect in doing this and can also be described as being beneficial to a country’s status and rank among other countries. It provides a country with power, resources and strength. But the problem is that war is done in excesses especially in the United States of America. Over the years war had lost its value on the basis of how much cons and disadvantages war brings to a country versus the pros. War can be very advantage to a country been when it is a product of greed for power, money and status, and not to change lives and save lives and the economy for the better, now that is when war become detrimental to a country. I plan on fixing this issue of excessive war by dividing power, meaning the pressure of when the United States participates in war will be shared among the government and the people; there will be a vote surrounding each war. I hope this solution can help to lessen the effects that war has taken on America as a whole. And also replenish the value of war in the eyes of the people.
